I got off the phone with my Mom a little bit ago. Baring any unforeseen circumstances, Dad will be transferring from the hospital to a rehab center close to their home sometime tomorrow before 2pm. When I saw him today, he was talking more than before, sitting upright (with the help of the positionable hospital bed), and no longer had the oxygen tube in his nose. He will be disconnected from everything except the feeding tube tonight, so things are definitely look up, especially since we learned this morning that Dad could have passed away on Monday when he aspirated.
So, to everyone at Multiply, Rebelscum, and TFW2005, I want to thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers through this very rough time in our lives. I really cannot express in words how much it meant to all of us. I'm getting teary-eyed just thinking about it. Thank you. Thank all of you and God bless. He's not out of the woods yet, so please keep him in your thoughts. We're hoping he can come home in time for his birthday on August 19th.
